Aunt Susie's Spring Travels
Aunt Susie has been on the move! I have been lucky to have spent some wonderful time with the O'Malley Family & my Mom & Dad in the past month. It has been delightful getting to spend some time with Henry, James and little baby Teddy. I am SO in love with the little guys!
I was also able to enjoy a wonderful kayak trip at the end of May with Christopher in Northern Florida. We explored many freshwater springs and saw turtles, baby armadillos, and an alligator!
The weekend of June 5 (Grandma Pat's 65th Birthday!) I was able to head back to the Chicago area. While there, I took in an exhilarating Yellow Jacket's soccer game, coached by Tim O'Malley with Henry O'Malley as one of the star players. Henry scored some goals, and did a really fantastic job. Way to go, guys!
Also, it was wonderful to see how much little Teddy had grown in the three weeks since I had first met him. He's a dream!
For Mom's Birthday, we were able to get Claire, Sophie and Max on Skype for a big group Happy Birthday.
I can't wait to see everyone in August!
....And many more...

Passover
It's spring in Indianapolis and time for Passover seder for Grandpa Rick and Grandma Pat. We remember last year's meal when Sophie and Henry helped prepare the Seder plate. We look forward to having another Passover meal with Cathy's family in Chicago soon. Don't know if it will be before or after the arrival of the new O'Malley.

guess what was the temperature of the water?
Here are some pictures from this WE at LaBaule where the weather was beautiful
Max and Sophie playing with a little bit of water in their buckets...that's a start...
a starfish found on the way to the water
Tasting the temperature of the water
and I guess it felt good!
"Look, I am all wet, let's do it again"
"We did it!!"

Final Four
Congratulations to Cathy I Do Not Cheat O'Malley for retaining sole possession of first place in the Hoop Heaven NCAA Tournament Pickem of 2011. Going into an unusual Final Four without a single one or two-rated team, Cathy remained number one, with no one actually having picked any of the final four teams.
As we head into a great inter-species rivalry for the final game (Butler Bulldogs vs UConn Huskies) Zeus shows his preference for the Bulldogs, in spite of his special relationship with the huskie breed, in this candid photo as he is relaxing in his back yard.

Winter in Indianapolis
I was fortunate to be able to visit mom & dad for a long weekend, and wanted to share some pictures. Much of the weekend was spent at home, hanging out with Zeus (pictured here with his favorite stuffed rabbit).
Grandma Pat made a beautiful fire in the kitchen with Henry & James.
On Friday, Dad & I drove north to South Bend, where we found a great park with groomed trails to cross country ski.

I'm so happy that Mom & Dad have set up Dad's old Lionel Train set in the basement. Note the mirror pond created by Cathy, Nathan & I during one winter break!

Sophie Xmas show, the long version
Here is a longer and lighter version of Sophie's dance.
For those who are wondering about the lyrics :
Nous nous nous on n'a pas peur du loup (we we we, we are not afraid of the big bad wolf)
j'ai vu j'ai vu, j'ai vu 3 petits cochons (I saw I saw I saw 3 little pigs)
3 petits cochons tout rose à la queue en tire-bouchon (3 littles pink pigs with a curly tail)
3 petits cochons tout roses qui rentraient dans leur maison (3 little pink pigs going home)
Sophie taught Max the song (amazing how fast Max learnt it)
